What is your style?

Specific, moody, personal, enigmatic, evocative, serious, self-critical-reflective-deprecating-deluding (depending), terse, quiet, angry, voice-y, vibe-y, experimental… something like that.

What do you aim to achieve with your writing?

I recently saw this quote from American short story writer, Eudora Welty: I like the feeling of being able to confront an experience and resolve it as art. I think that's enough for me for now.

What are your literary influences?

The last thing I read, if it was good. Which is why it felt so important to include the book I was reading at the time of writing each story on the front of the postcards.

But to name a few authors: Ottessa Moshfegh, Rachel Cusk, William Faulkner, Clarice Lispector, Shirley Jackson

And a few novels: The Piano Teacher, The Lover, Good Morning Midnight, The Stranger, Assembly

What kind of stories do you write?

Little stories.

Why little stories?

Because I went insane writing failed novels.

Are you working on another novel?

Of course.

What is your writing process like?

Why read about it when you could watch about it? Check out my writing vlogs here.
